Let’s help Alex DO THIS!
Eagle is the highest rank a Scout can achieve. It requires a minimum of six months active in the troop as a Life Scout, 21 merit badges (13 of which are required, including local, national, and global Citizenship badges, Communication, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Science/Sustainability, and Personal Management); and demonstrate active leadership in their troop as a patrol leader or assistant patrol leader, troop guide, den leader, instructor, etc. The required Eagle Scout Project must be planned, organized, led, and managed by the Scout. It must be of benefit to the community (not the Boy Scouts), nor may it be commercial in nature.
NOTABLE EAGLE SCOUTS
Eagle Scouts include Nobel Prize Laureates; former Presidents of the U.S.; U.S. astronauts; sports figures; entertainment giants; and more than 2 million other men (and as of 2017 women) who are recognized for their leadership and dedication to the community.
